DMK MP Kanimozhi on Monday (March 10, 2025) filed a notice of breach of parliamentary privilege against him in response to Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan’s comment on the issue of National Education Policy. This notice has been filed amidst the ongoing debate on three language formulas in Tamil Nadu under NEP. The Center and the Tamil Nadu government are stunned about this matter.
Before filing the notice, Kanimozhi said that the DMK government has expressed concern over NEP and refused to accept the policy completely. He said, “He (the central government) should not link money with NEP for school education. We have not changed our stand. The minister has called us false and rude.” The DMK MP further said, “They have hurt our honor. We are not against any language, but you cannot call us rude.”
