The new captain of Delhi Capitals Akshar Patel wants his team to keep things simple in his attempt to win the Indian Premier League (IPL) title.
Akshar took over as captain after Rishabh Pant. Lucknow Super Giants have included Pant in their team and made their captain.
On Monday, Akshar said on the eve of his first match against Lucknow Super Giants here on Monday, “When I was declared captain, I was confident about this work. I have been playing for Delhi Capitals since 2019, I am developing as a cricketer in this franchise. I am proud to get this responsibility. ,
He said, “We have been struggling for the title for the last 17 years. But we do not care about the results, but we will follow what is in our hands. Akshar said, “Cricket has changed nowadays, IPL is a game of batsmen which have more fours and sixes, but we have to develop into a team.” As a captain, I have a message to my colleagues to keep it simple and this is my strategy. ,
