Mark carney: Mark Carney has been elected the new leader of the Liberal Party of Canada. He will replace Justin Trudeau and become the 24th Prime Minister of Canada. Mark Carney, who was the Governor of Bank of Canada, will now lead the Liberal Party in the general elections. Trudeau announced his resignation from his post in January.
Carney has won a decisive victory in the race for the leadership of the Liberal Party. He got a total of 85.9 percent votes. Carney introduced himself as opposed to US President Donald Trump in his campaign. Regarding Trump’s tariff threat, Carney said that we will not let him succeed. He said that tariffs against America will remain in force until America does not compromise with us free trade.
