The first season of DPL gave new stars
The first season of DPL was held in 2024, where East Delhi Riders won the title by defeating South Delhi Superstar in a thrilling match. In the first edition of this league, two names emerged in a tremendous manner, Priyansh Arya and Digvesh Rathi.
Priyansh scored 120 runs in 50 balls, hitting six sixes in an over. After this, he sold in IPL for Rs 3.80 crore and scored a total of 475 runs in the season by scoring a century for Punjab Kings in 2025 seasons, while Digvesh Rathi got his debut with Lucknow Super Giant and took 14 wickets in 13 matches.
