Both Rahul Dravid and Virender Sehwag completed 2,000 Test runs in 40 innings. Now Jaiswal has also completed two thousand runs in the same innings. Jaiswal was dismissed by 87 runs in the first innings of the Birmingham Test, due to which he was left just 10 runs away from touching the figure of two thousand runs in 39 innings. If he had scored 10 more runs in the first innings, he would have become the fastest Indian batsman to score 2,000 runs in the Test.
