List Of Plane Crash in 2024 : A major plane accident occurred in Kazakhstan on Wednesday. The plane crashed near Aktau on 25 December. According to CNN report, a total of 67 people were traveling in the plane, out of which 62 were passengers and 5 were crew members. So far, 38 people have been reported dead in the accident. Last Wednesday, a private plane collided with a house in Argentina. Two pilots on board the plane died in the accident that took place near San Fernando Airport in Buenos Aires province. According to media reports, eyewitnesses present at the spot said, ‘The plane landed far away from the runway, could not apply brakes for some reason and collided with the houses located near the airport.’

2 January 2024 : The collision occurred on the runway of Haneda Airport in Tokyo, Japan. Japan Airlines Flight 516, which was coming from Sapporo, collided with a Japan Coast Guard plane and both planes caught fire. The collision was so terrible that both the planes were completely destroyed. All 367 passengers and 12 crew members of Flight 516 were evacuated safely. There were 6 people aboard the Coast Guard aircraft. The captain survived with serious injuries while the remaining five crew members died.

24 January 2024 : An Ilyushin Il-76 military transport aircraft of the Russian Air Force crashed in Korochansky district in Belgorod Oblast, Russia. All the people on board the plane died in this accident near the Ukrainian border. Russia alleged that the plane was shot down by Ukraine. The aircraft was carrying 65 Ukrainian prisoners of war captured during the Russia-Ukraine war, as well as six crew members and three guards.

12 March 2024 : An Ilyushin ‘IL-76’ cargo plane crashed in Russia’s Ivanovo Oblast. There were fifteen people on board the plane; Eight crew and seven passengers. No one survived. Russian sources said one of its engines caught fire and the plane crashed shortly after takeoff. The Russian Defense Ministry said the most likely cause of the accident was an engine fire.

19 May 2024 : A helicopter of the Iranian Air Force crashed near Uzi village in East Azerbaijan, Iran. The then President of Iran Ebrahim Raisi was aboard the helicopter. He was accompanied on the helicopter by Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdullahian, Governor-General of East Azerbaijan Malek Rahmati, representative of the Supreme Leader in East Azerbaijan Mohammad Ali Ale-Hashem, the head of the presidential security team and three flight crew members. Everyone died in the accident. On September 1, the Supreme Board of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran concluded in its final report that the helicopter crash was mainly caused by dense fog, poor challenging atmospheric and climatic weather conditions.

10 June 2024 : Malawi Defense Force ‘Dornier 228’ aircraft carrying Malawi’s Vice-President Saulos Chilima, former First Lady Patricia Shanille Muluzi and seven others has crashed in Chikangawa Forest Reserve in Nkhata Bay District. Everyone on board the plane was killed. It was called Malawi’s deadliest aviation accident. The people on board the plane were en route to Mzuzu Airport from Lilongwe in the Northern Region to attend a funeral.

24 July 2024 : A plane of Saurya Airlines crashed soon after taking off from Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu, Nepal. Of the 19 people on board, 18 died.

9 August 2024 : Voipas Flight 2283 was a scheduled domestic Brazilian passenger flight from Cascavel to Guarulhos. On August 9, 2024, the plane crashed in Vinhedo, São Paulo state. All 62 people on board the plane died. The accident was the deadliest aviation accident in Brazil since the TAM Airlines Flight 3054 disaster in July 2007.
