Ukraine President Volodimir Jailonsky has expressed his gratitude for his support from America during the ongoing war against Russia. He posted a video message on the social media platform X and said that he understands and is grateful for this.
Jailonsky’s statement came to the White House after US President Donald Trump and Vice President JD Vance not expressed enough gratitude to Ukraine and rejected the resolutions of ceasefire.
Jailonsky also told in the video that he is getting support and unity from Europe and the desire to strengthen this cooperation is increasing. He said that Ukraine’s goal is peace, not “endless war”, and for this they need “real safety guarantee”. He also clarified that this is the main issue of many countries including Europe, Britain, European Union and Türkiye.
In addition, Jailonsky appreciated the flexibility of the Ukrainian people, saying that he is always felt thankful for the ongoing international efforts to save the country’s freedom. Jailonsky also said that Ukraine’s flexibility is based on what his partners are doing for him and his safety.
This message from Jailonsky came after a summit in London, where leaders of various countries gathered to discuss the Russia-Ukraine war.
The conference included Britain’s Prime Minister Kir Stmper, French President Emmanuel Macron, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni. The conference was an important opportunity to show the solidarity of the international community after Russia’s invasion of Ukraine in 2022.
