Adani Power has received a 1500 mega watt (MW) power supply contract in Uttar Pradesh. For this, the company will set up a new ultra-supercratical power plant in UP. Electricity will be supplied from the plant at the rate of Rs 5.383 per unit.
The plant will be developed under the design, build, finance, on and operator (DBFOO) model. Electricity demand in UP is estimated to increase by 11,000 MW by 2033-34. Due to this, more contracts can be given to Adani.
In September last year, 6,600 MW contract was received
Adani Pawar has received this second major contract in a year. Earlier in September 2024, the company had signed a 6,600 MW power supply agreement with the Maharashtra government.
Adani Energy Solutions also got an order of ₹ 2,800 crore
On March 21, Adani Energy Solutions received a power transmission project of ₹ 2,800 crore in Gujarat. The company said that it has found a power transmission project in Gujarat, which will supply green electrons for manufacturing green hydrogen and green ammonia in Mundra. This project will be delivered to the country in 36 months.
The project also includes upgrading the new (Mundra) Electrical Substation by adding two large 765/400kV transformers. Apart from this, a 75 km long 765kV double-circuit line will be made to connect this substation to Bhuj substation.
Adani power earnings increased, profit decreased Total Income was Rs 14,536 crore in the fourth quarter of Adani Group’s company Adani Power Limited. This is 4.7% higher than last year. Revenue was Rs 14,237 crore from the company’s operation in this earnings. In the January to March quarter, the company’s total expenditure was Rs 11,274 crore and the total tax was Rs 662 crore.

Adani Power started in 1996
Adani Power Limited (APL) began on 22 August 1996. It is the country’s largest private sector thermal power producer. The company has a capacity of 15,250 MW power generation. Its thermal plants are in Gujarat, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh and Jharkhand.
At the same time, there is a 40 MW capacity solar plant in Gujarat. The Clean Development Mation (CDM) of the Kyoto Protocol is a coal-based supercratical thermal power project-making company.
