Uttar Pradesh News: Former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister and BSP chief Mayawati on Thursday accused the Congress of disrespecting BR Ambedkar and his followers and supporting the capitalists.
In a post on social media platform ‘X’, Mayawati said, “The character of the Congress party is dual. She opposes the capitalists and blocks the Parliament, but runs the party by taking money from the same rich people and benefits them when the government is formed, which is clear from the activities of their state governments.”
He said, “In the case of Ambedkar, Congress ignores and despises him and his followers, but also does various types of deceitful politics for the sake of their votes, due to which people always need to be cautious.” Mayawati said, “Most of the parties in the country do their political activities and contest elections with the help of the money power of big capitalists, as is proved by the figures of immense money received by them in 2023-24.”
Citing media reports, the BSP chief said that in the year 2023-24, BJP has received donations worth crores and billions of rupees in the year 2023-24, BRS is second and Congress is third, whereas BSP is the only party which is willing to spend money on the blood of its poor workers. It depends only on hard-earned money.
