For the assembly elections to be held in Delhi next year, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Saturday inaugurated the election office of the party’s state unit at Pant Marg headquarters and during this senior leaders were also present.
BJP’s Delhi unit chief Virendra Sachdeva performed the havan with his wife, in which the party’s state election in-charge Baijayant Panda, election coordination committee chairman and Union minister Harsh Malhotra, MPs Ramveer Singh Bidhuri, Manoj Tiwari, Kamaljeet Sehrawat, Bansuri Swaraj, Yogendra Chandolia, Praveen Khandelwal and others were present.
Elections for Delhi Assembly are to be held in February next year. The BJP, which has been out of power in Delhi since 1998, is making every effort to oust the Arvind Kejriwal-led Aam Aadmi Party government from power.
