Delhi Police Busted Cricket Betting Racket for BBL T-20: Australia’s famous cricket league has started from 15th December. Its name is Big Bash League T20. This league is being discussed a lot in India. Actually, Delhi Police has busted a gang involved in betting on Big Bash League (BBL) matches and arrested 10 people. These accused belong to Delhi, Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan. Police exposed this racket running on Joshi Road of Karol Bagh.
Police raid and disclosure
Delhi Crime Branch Deputy Commissioner Sanjay Kumar Saini said that the police had received secret information that betting was going on in a flat located in Karol Bagh. Police raided the flat at 11:30 am on Saturday, where 10 people were arrested for betting on live cricket matches.
Investigation found that the accused were betting on the seventh T20 match of the Big Bash League 2024-25 (Hobart Hurricanes vs Perth Scorchers). The arrested main accused Raju Vaishnav had taken this flat located on Joshi Road on rent for ₹ 45,000 monthly. According to the police, Raju is the mastermind of this entire racket.
Police have seized 24 mobile phones, 5 laptops, an LED TV and betting records from the flat.

Online and offline betting network
Both online and offline mediums were being used in this racket. Main accused Jagrat Sahani had purchased Master ID from a website for online betting. At the same time, this group used to keep accounts on notepad for offline betting.

- Manish Jain (Jaipur): earlier used to work as a gas stove
- Kushal (Pali, Rajasthan): used to run a mobile shop
- Gautam Das (Pali, Rajasthan): mobile shop owner
- Harvinder Dayal (Agra): used to do mobile repair work
- Ajay Kumar (Karol Bagh): used to run a clothing store
