Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari has said that he is considering enacting a law under which only the sound of Indian musical instruments can be used in the horn of vehicles. He said, I am planning to enact a law that the horn of all vehicles should be based on Indian musical instruments, so that it is pleasant to hear them.

What kind of music will be
Gadkari said that the music of Indian scriptural instruments in vehicles can be used as a horn. It will include music of instruments like flute, tabla, violin and harmonium. He said that the transport sector contributes 40 percent to air pollution in the country. To reduce this, the government is promoting vehicles based on ethanol, methanol and green energy.
Third largest market
Gadkari said that India gets maximum revenue from export of two -wheelers and cars. In the year 2014, where the market price of Indian vehicle sector was Rs 14 lakh crore, which has now increased to Rs 22 lakh crore. Gadkari said that India has become the third largest vehicle market in the world after surpassing Japan.
Penalty for installing music horn right now
Under the Central Vice -Act 1989, installing music horn in vehicles is under the category of fine. Under the rule, it is necessary to have an electric horn in every vehicle. The horn should be so fast that his voice can be heard easily for a few meters. However, the imposition of pressure horn can also be fined. Earlier, electric horn was not necessary in the vehicles, due to which the possibility of the accident increases many times.
