Israel on Wednesday approved a ceasefire proposal with Hamas in Gaza. This proposal was given by Qatar. It also includes some things of the ceasefire proposal of Steve Witchoff, Special Representative of US President Donald Trump.
Now Israel, America and Qatar are waiting for Hamas’s reply. Jerusalem Post said that Hamas can also accept this proposal soon. Qatar has a lot of pressure on it.
Earlier, Trump had warned Hamas in his Truth social post on Wednesday and said- I hope that Hamas will accept this deal, otherwise the situation will get worse for him.
The main point of the ceasefire proposal-
- The proposal will release 10 living Israeli hostages.
- The bodies of 18 dead Israeli hostages will also be returned.
- There will be a 60 -day ceasefire, in which there will be talks on permanently eliminating the war.

Israel said- we are serious about ceasefire
The proposal was approved after a meeting of Strategic Affairs Minister Ron Dermer and Steve Vitkoff. Israel has agreed to continue the talks to end the war even after a 60 -day ceasefire.
However, talks are still going on from Gaza about the return of the Israeli army. Israeli Foreign Minister Gidon Sar said- We are serious about the hostage release and ceasefire. We have accepted Vitchoff’s proposal and want to start a conversation as soon as possible.

The first phase of the ceasefire ended on 1 March. In the first phase, Hamas left 33 hostage, including 8 bodies. At the same time, Israel released 2 thousand Palestinian prisoners.
The conversation between Israel and Hamas on the second phase of the ceasefire has not started yet.
