
Cricket Association of Bengal Bomb Threat: The Cricket Association of Bengal between IPL 2025 has been threatened with bomb blasts via email. CAB received this threat during the Chennai Super Kings vs. Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR vs CSK) match. The match was played at the Eden Gardens, during which the Cricket Association gets an email from an unknown ID, threatening a bomb blast in the Chennai-Kolkata match.
According to India Today, the security of Eden Gardens has been increased after the threat of bomb blast, while the police has started investigating the case. The match was played on 7 May and on the same day the Indian Army carried out Operation Sindoor in Pakistan and Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (POK), in which about 90 terrorists were killed. Before the commencement of Chennai and Kolkata, both teams had expressed respect to the Indian Army for the success of ‘Operation Sindoor’. The national anthem of India was played before the match started.
Changes in the schedule of IPL 2025
After ‘Operation Sindoor’, there has been news of changes in the schedule of IPL 2025. The BCCI had approved the Delhi Capitals vs Punjab Kings match to be held at Dharamshala on 8 May, but the Mumbai Indians vs Punjab Kings match to be held on May 11 is reported to be shifted from Dharamshala to Wankhede.
A new date can also be decided for the Mumbai-Punjab match. Let us tell you that Chandigarh and Dharamshala airports have been closed after ‘Operation Sindoor’. In such a situation, the venue of most matches to be held in Dharamshala and northern India can be changed in the coming days.
