
Arjun Ram Meghwal: Union Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal took a dip in the Sangam on Friday and described Mahakumbh-2025 as a “great festival of Indianness and humanity”.
Meghwal said in a post on ‘ Had the privilege of having a darshan.”
He said that from time immemorial, this unique confluence of spirituality and faith ‘Maha Kumbh’ has given the message of equality, harmony and unity to the entire world. According to him, Mahakumbh is the center not only of India but also of global spirituality. Addressing the ‘Our Constitution Our Swabhiman’ program organized at the fair area, Meghwal said, “Our Constitution is a living document which shows the way of life.”
The Union Minister of State for Law and Justice said, “Our Constitution talks about equality, liberty and fraternity. This grand Mahakumbh organized in the Sangam area of Triveni is showcasing the equality, liberty and fraternity mentioned in the Constitution.”
He said that on this day 75 years ago, the national flag, the tricolor, was adopted by the Constituent Assembly. According to him, the three colors and 24 spokes of the national flag represent different qualities and provide an opportunity to imbibe these qualities in one’s life.
Meghwal said that organizing the ‘Our Constitution Our Self-Respect’ campaign in the Sangam area has special significance to be held during this historic religious event. It symbolizes the coming together of India’s rich cultural heritage, spiritual traditions and constitutional values.”
At the event, the Union Minister released the achievement book of ‘Hamara Samvidhan Hamara Samman Abhiyan’ and also released the calendar of 2025 of the Department of Justice and a short film based on the campaign. To raise awareness about the Constitution of India and the legal rights of citizens, the Department of Justice launched the year-long nationwide campaign ‘Our Constitution Our Respect/Swabhiman’ (HS2) on 24 January 2024 from the Dr. BR Ambedkar International Centre, Delhi. .
