As soon as the youth reached the police station on Sunday evening, instead of going inside, he started fighting with the youth standing outside the police station. He also had a knife in his hand. The constable saved himself from getting hurt by holding the young man’s hand. During this, the young man pushed the policeman and made him fall down.
There was an allegation of kidnapping the girl
The police officer said that the young man was accused of abducting the girl. About five years ago, he had eloped with the girl, but the matter ended after the girl returned home. But due to the report made at that time, a notice was received from the SDM court against the accused youth in the police station. Beat in-charge constable Dalchand had called him to the Kotwali police station to get him taken care of.
SDM released after serving notice
Despite this sensational case of attacking a policeman with a knife outside the Kotwali police station, the police released the young man without legal action. However, other constables of the police station caught the young man and took him inside. City Kotwal said that the family members have said that the young man is mentally ill and he is also on medication. The same court had called for serving the notice and after serving the notice, he was handed over to his family members without taking any legal action due to his being a mental patient.
