Devendra Fadnavis Net Worth: Devendra Fadnavis has taken oath as the new Chief Minister of Maharashtra in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and several dignitaries. This is the third time that Devendra Fadnavis has taken oath as the Chief Minister of Maharashtra. Fadnavis took oath along with two deputy chief ministers, Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader Ajit Pawar and Shiv Sena leader Eknath Shinde.
After the election results and a landslide victory, it took 13 days for the alliance to choose the Chief Minister. After a long debate and division regarding the post of CM in Mahayuti, a consensus has been reached on the name of Devendra Fadnavis. Along with him, two Deputy Chief Ministers Ajit Pawar and Eknath Shinde also took oath. These three leaders, who have great influence in Maharashtra politics, also have a lot of wealth and fame.
Devendra Fadnavis had contested the assembly elections from Nagpur South West seat. In the affidavit filed along with the election nomination papers, he has declared movable and immovable assets worth Rs 13 crore 27 lakh 47 thousand 728. According to his tax return form, his total income in 2023-24 is Rs 79 lakh 30 thousand 402 whereas in 2022-23 it was Rs 92 lakh 48 thousand 94. Fadnavis has declared movable assets worth Rs 56,07,867 in his own name, Rs 6,96,92,748 in the name of his wife Amrita Fadnavis and Rs 10,22,113 in the name of his daughter. Fadnavis’s wife has jewelery worth Rs 65 lakh 70 thousand.
After assuming power in Maharashtra, Eknath Shinde is now going to become the Deputy Chief Minister of the state. His total net worth is Rs 37 crore 68 lakh 58 thousand 150. He has movable assets worth Rs 1 crore 44 lakh 57 thousand 155. Apart from this, his wife has movable assets worth Rs 7 crore 77 lakh 20 thousand 995. Shinde has also invested in gold and land.
Ajit Pawar has become the Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra for the sixth time. Talking about his assets, Ajit Pawar has movable assets worth Rs 8.22 crore and immovable assets worth Rs 37.15 crore. His total wealth is Rs 45.37 crore. His Rajya Sabha MP wife Sunetra Pawar has movable assets worth Rs 14.57 crore and immovable assets worth Rs 58.39 crore. Ajit Pawar owns a tractor, silver jewellery, FD, shares, bonds, Toyota Camry and Honda CRV car. Apart from being a central player in politics, Ajit Pawar also has stake in many companies.
Worship of Siddhivinayak before taking oath
The swearing-in ceremony of the Maharashtra government took place at Azad Maidan in South Mumbai. Governor CP Radhakrishnan administered the oath of office and secrecy to Fadnavis and the two deputy chief ministers. After the assembly elections in Maharashtra were held on 20th November and its results were announced on 23rd November, intense talks went on for about two weeks. Then today the government has been formed under the leadership of Fadnavis.
Fadnavis emerged as a strong contender for this post after BJP emerged as the strongest by winning 132 seats in the elections of 288-member Maharashtra Assembly. He represents Nagpur South West constituency. The BJP-led Mahayuti alliance, along with its constituents Shiv Sena and NCP, has 230 seats in the assembly. Before the swearing-in ceremony, Fadnavis visited the famous Siddhivinayak temple this morning and offered prayers there.
