Meanwhile, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio has reprimanded Pakistan. The US has said that Pakistan should take tough steps on terrorism. Marco Rubio said that Pakistan should not spoil the situation.
‘Pakistan should stop supporting terrorism’
The US Secretary of State said that Pakistan should stop supporting terrorism. US State Department spokesman Tami Bruce said, “There is a discussion that Pakistan wants an independent investigation into what has happened in relation to terrorist attack. We want the criminals to be held accountable and we support any effort in this direction. We urge India and Pakistan to work towards the responsible solution in this matter. Both governments are currently having talks.”
India started retaliation
Pakistan on Thursday (8 May 2025) tried unsuccessfully to attack military locations in Jammu, Pathankot and Udhampur with missiles. The Indian air defense system destroyed all Pakistani missiles and drones in the sky itself. After this, India has started retaliation on Pakistan.
Earlier, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio spoke on the phone by India’s Foreign Minister S Jaishankar. He emphasized the need to reduce stress immediately in India-Pakistan relations. During this, S Jaishankar spoke about India’s targeted and nephew towards terrorism across the border.
Marco Rubio spoke to Shahbaz Sharif
According to Radio Pakistan, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio also called Pakistan PM Shahbaz Sharif and discussed the emerging situation in South Asia region. Rubio had said that the US is closely watching the situation in South Asia, as it is committed to promoting peace and stability in the region. Rubio also emphasized that both Pakistan and India should work together to reduce stress.
