New Delhi. The popularity of electric two-wheelers in India is increasing rapidly. All big brands are launching their models in this segment. Now Royal Enfield, known for retro look bikes, is also preparing to launch its first electric bike. Royal Enfield will launch its first electric motorcycle, flying fly C6, in the fourth quarter of FY 2025-26. This bike was first showcased as a new electric brand in EICMA 2024, which is completely different from the Royal Enfield’s portfolio so far.
Flying flee C6 features
Royal Enfield is using her iconic paramilitary motorcycle “Flying Fle” for this bike, which is known for her light weight and strong body. Similarly, the flying fly C6 will also be a light bike, which will challenge the current electric two-wheeler structure.
New technology and features
Royal Enfield has recorded 45 patents for this bike, including new techniques. The company has also developed a central ‘thatch control unit’ (VCU), which integrates the body digital touchpoints. VCU has over 200,000 ride mode coordination and it adds new features through Over the Air (OTA) updates.
Design and features
The design of the flying flee C6 is inspired by older motorcycles, including forgited aluminum girder fork and articulating mudguard. The bike has a sleek forged aluminum frame and magnesium battery case, which makes its design even more attractive. The flying fle C6 will have features like lean-angle sensitive ABS and a feature loaded domestic 3-pin charging plug.
The bike will be available in both single-seat and dual-seat variants. The Royal Enfield will also launch a Scrambaler variant under the Flying Fly brand, which will be called S6. The company will first launch the C6, after which the S6 will be launched.
