3. Change the rules of premium payment of insurance policy
Insurance regulator IREDA has asked Life and Health Insurance companies to introduce a new feature called ‘Insurance-ASBA’. Under this facility, the person purchasing the policy can block the amount of insurance premium in his bank account. This money will be deducted only when an insurance policy is issued.
Right now when a person buys insurance, he has to pay the premium first, but under this new insurance-ASBA feature, the customer will not have to pay first. For this, the amount of premium from the bank account of the customers will be reserved (block) and if the insurance company accepts the customer’s application, then only this money will be deducted from the account. If the policy is not approved, the money will be safe in the account and will not be deducted.
- If the insurance company rejects the application, the money will be immediately unlawed to the account.
- The money will be deducted only when the policy is received.
- This facility will first be available for individual policy holders (individual policy holders).
4. Get KYC with accounts in Punjab National Bank
If there is no transaction in Punjab National Bank (PNB) for more than 2 years, then the bank account can be closed. The bank has issued an alert to its customers about this. The bank can de-activate such accounts. If you want your bank account to be active, then you have to update KYC for this.
