Tension in Team India: Speculations about internal divisions in the Indian team are gaining momentum. Even the issue of rift between captain Rohit Sharma and head coach Gautam Gambhir for several weeks has created controversy. Amidst all this, captain Rohit Sharma had taken the surprising decision of dropping himself from the Sydney Test. Now a new report has come out that factionalism has started within the Indian cricket team and players are being seen roaming around in small groups.
According to Australian media, tension has been going on within the Indian team for a long time. The report said, “Players of Team India are not ready to eat with each other or go out with each other. Instead, the players have formed small groups. 8-9 players. “And the support staff members were seen together while going out for dinner at Japanese restaurant Nobu.”
Gambhir remained in the hotel
In the same report, it was also claimed that Gautam Gambhir stayed in the hotel, while other players were seen roaming around in small groups. To further the rapport between the players, a senior member of the support staff even offered his credit card to buy drinks for everyone. But his attempt proved unsuccessful. Not a single player of the team agreed with what this senior support staff member said.
Till now all this can be called mere rumor as there has been no official confirmation on any subject. If all this is true then it has definitely affected the team’s performance. How can it happen that a team which won the Perth Test by 295 runs suddenly scores a goal for the same team? After Perth, the Indian team has looked helpless in the next three matches.
