Crores of policyholders of the country’s largest insurance company LIC can now pay the premium of their LIC policy with WhatsApp. In fact, Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) has started an online facility for payment of LIC policy premium through its ‘WhatsApp Bot’ service.
LIC said, ‘This option will provide another alternative option to make premium payment online to LIC Kasmetors. Registered customers can use WhatsApp number 8976862090 to detect dew policy for the portal users payment.
More than 2.2 crore registered policy holders on LIC’s Kasmater portal
With its use, they can pay directly through UPI/Net Banking/Card in WhatsApp bot. The entire customer to identify the date for premium until payment and receipt is made within the Journey WhatsApp bot.
There are more than 2.2 crore registered policy holders on LIC’s Kasmater portal. Out of which more than 3 lakh Kasmatters log in every day to avail many online services.

- Policy number on your life or on the life of your minor children.
- Installation of premium of these policies (without service tax/GST).
- Scan image of PAN card or passport, whose file size is less than 100 KB.
- The scan image should be in .JPG or .JPEG format. However, images can also be uploaded in .BMP, .PNG, .GIF and .TIFF format.
- Go to www.licindia.in and click on the Kasmeter portal.
- If you have not first registered for the Kasmater Portal, click on ‘New User’.
- In the next screen you have to choose the user ID and password of your choice and submit it.
- Log in from this newly created user ID and click on Basic Services- Ed Policy option.
- Enroll all your remaining policy.
On this stage, all basic services will be available through your enroll policy.

Step 1- Filling the registration form
- Many basic details like date-off-barth, mobile number, e-mail ID given while registering for the portal user will automatically join the registration form.
- Provide PAN card or passport details.
- In this stage, all the eligible policy numbers (on their life or on the life of their minor children) will be displayed in this stage.
- For policy on life partner’s life, he will have to register separately.
Step 2 – Print Form
- Click on the print/save form and print the registration form.
- Check the details of the registration form and sign it.
- Create a scan image of sidel form and any one KYC document (PAN or Passport).
- The file size of scanned image should be maximum 100 kB.
- Scanned images- BMP, .PNG, .JPG, .JPEG, .GIF and .Tiff should be made in one format.
Step-3-Upload form /check status
- Upload the scanned image of the registration form through the given option.
- Upload a scanned image of PAN card or passport.
- After uploading the documents, click on submit the request.
- An an anamentment SMS and e-mail will be sent to the mobile/email ID given in the registration form.
- This request will be sent for verification of our customer zone.
- After the verification of our customer zone official (inside 3 working days from the date of registration), you will be sent an analyrage email and SMS.
- Now you are ready to take advantage of our premiere services.
